-wetting bacon with water before frying will let it stop from shrinking

-putting an apple in a bag of potatoes will stop eyes from growing

-use an elastic on opened plastic bags of frozen food to keep it fresh

-put a piece of celery when boiling cabbage to keep the smell away

-when babies outgrow sleepers do up the top snap throw it in the wash and you dont have to guess if it fits, easy to put aside

If you have any helpful hints I'd love to read them to make life a little easier

Put a roll of packing tape in your suitcase when you travel with kids! It is amazing how much childproofing you can do in a hotel room with and how much more enjoyable those stays can be if you aren't so stressed. I cover outlets, tie back curtain cords, tape drawers shut, etc.

Lunch on the go for toddlers. Tomato soup in a drink cup with a straw (leak proof).

If you have a house with multiple levels have a change station on every floor. I just have a basket with diapers, wipes and a water proof change cloth on each level.

Another one for toddlers. I often give Matthew Cherrios for breakfast, but putting Cherrios and milk in bowl would be a diaster, so I put the Cherrios in the bowl and I mix with fresh fruit and yogurt. This way he can manage with a spoon and I don't have a huge mess to clean up.

Twisty turning baby on the change table, hang a mobile over the change table.

I have more, I'm sure just can't think of more right now.

Great post.

I love the yogurt & fruit instead of milk for a child's cereal.

Put a basket at the top and bottom of every set of stairs, for holding things that have to go up or down.

For antiperspirant stains on your shirt after you've put the shirt on use a pair of hose to wipe the white stain right off.

Use a bit of Pam cooking spray on squeeky hinges when you can't figure out where DH put the WD-40, out in the garage (or buy your own can!).:)

I also use Pam on my hands when I'm using my hands for something sticky in the kitchen (shaping cookies, mixing meatloaf, kneading bread).

I had a ranch-style house, when my kids were little! I had wipes and a couple diapers out in the living room and in the bedroom! Far be it from me to have to walk all the way into the bedroom to change a diaper! LOL! (geez, talk about lazy!)

"wetting bacon..." I'll have to try that next time I make bacon.

The yogurt and fruit with the cereal sounds yummy and is a very good idea! Will have to remember that when I have grandkids!

Do any of you remember when Mom to Mom use to have a contest for this very thing? I remember b/c I won my very first beanie baby for an idea I had. It was to mix all the dry ingredients for the bread machine in zip lock bags. When it is time to make the bread, throw in your wet ingredients and toss in contents of the bag.

We haven't tried tomato soup yet Heaven, probably because *we* don't eat it, but that's a great idea. Thanks!

Wish I had some to share, but really can't think of much. Peanut butter cures the hiccups like right now. Natalie has learned that and says "I need some peanut butter medicine" when she ha sthe hiccups. It's really cute! (Plus a good excuse for a teaspoon of pbutter!)
