I have a younger brother (well 1/2 bro) who is 23 y/o now. About 5 years ago his dad died unexpectedly and he got a pretty large inheritance. He took it very hard. He had alot of money and an empty heart so he started using drugs. He got involved with a girl who is 30 years old and needless to say she was into drugs as well. I am not 100% sure but I think they started using methanphetamine after all the money was blown, because it is a cheap high.

She got pregnant and they hid the pregnancy from everyone. They were ashamed to tell anyone in the family. She didn't show until the last month, so she stayed away from everyone for a while. She never went to the Dr. when she was pregnant. She delivered at 38 weeks.

My brother called me and said, guess what????? Well, I almost fainted!

The baby is 2 weeks old and besides having nicotine withdrawals for the first few days, she is perfect! I think that she quit using drugs when she found out she was pregnant because the baby showed no signs of drugs in her system. She is a perfect little angel!

I think that God sent that baby to them to save their lives. I don't think anything else could have stopped their path of destruction besides a miracle.

That's a lovely story! I too believe in miracles like that and i too believe that God sends a baby to give meaning to people. In a way it happened to me (although nothing to do with drugs). Congratulations, and all the best to your brother and his new family!

Thanks!!! Her name is Madelyn Lee. She was 6lb 4oz. She looks so tiny since I had 9 pounders, LOL.
