I hate the 80's one! I was all grown up already, since 1980 brought me my 20th birthday! Here's a list I made up of stuff from the 60's! You may be a child of the 60's if you can remember... The beginnings of the Brady Bunch When Mr. Rogers first zipped up his sweater When Dick Van Dyke entered our living rooms by tripping over the ottoman Watching Sally Field fly around in a nun's habit in The Flying Nun When the Ford Cobra 427SC came out (okay my hubby helped me with that one) Banana seat bikes with the high tube in the back and upraised handle bars When the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan Show (I don't remember, but hubby is a little older than me) Watching Peggy Fleming skate her way to a gold medal in 1968 Watching the Archies cartoon Watching the Flintstones on their first run Watching the Jetson's on their first run Sound of Music The Andy Griffith show Gilligan's Island The Beverly Hillbillies Petticoat Junction Having a Chatty Cathy Doll Getting a Playdoh fun factory (new in 1960) Roller Skates with keys that you clamped onto your shoes!! The colorforms weather set When bellbottoms first came out Watching the first moon launch in July 1969
I was born in the 60's but I can relate to some of these.
I was born in the early 60's, and a lot of these made me smile. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
I was born in March of 1960, so, I was there for the whole decade! I don't remember seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, although, I do remember watching Ed Sullivan when I was older.
I was born in 1963 and do remember alot of these...the colorforms made me laugh And I did have a Chatty Cathy doll.
I was born in 1955 and I remember ALL of these. I'm truly a dinosaur!
lol, I am only 22 but I have watched the Andy Griffith show, Petticoat Junction, the Beverly hillbillies, Gilligan's Island...all thanks to the "Tvland" channel.
I was born in 64, and remember almost all of them. I was just telling my kids about banana seats on our bikes, and how I have a scar on my foot from getting it caught in the spokes when doubling. LOL We'd kill them if they did half of those things now!!!
I had the Colorforms weather set! LOL I remember all those things (except the Beatles)... I don't know whether to thank you for the memories, or say thanks a bunch for making me feel ancient! LOL
I was born in the early 60s and I remember all of these!!! What great memories... if I can get over the fact that I CAN REMEMBER ALL OF THESE!
Oh, yes, I remember Brady Bunch and Partridge Family came on 7:00 and 7:30 on Friday nights. (Central Time) I remember: Red Snap jeans crochet Ponchos girls having to wear dresses to school - no pants or shorts allowed. Boys were not allowed to wear shorts - pants only. Girls/women went from wearing short-short dresses to floor length dresses/skirts. wood paneled station wagons waiting in line hours for gasoline motels were good enough to stay in on vacation Nixon resigning metal dollhouses beehive hairdos and weekly trips to the beauty parlor going to the moon those big fuzzy hair ribbons shag haircut dark wood paneling Led Zepplin having to get up to change the TV channel TV stations signing off every night with The Star Spangled Banner. Record Players that were big pieces of furniture.
Oh I feel old. And the crocheted ponchos are back in style. I just made one of my dd.
When I was in 4th grade, I got to start wearing pants to school. That was about 1969 or so. Before that I always wore dresses, except for the stretch pants I wore to keep my legs warm in the winter.
