A Blessed Accord The Father stood, and looking down, Was searching every day. He knew he'd find the special one There in that vast array. He had a special child He loved And He knew that He must Not give him to just anyone, But someone he could trust To give uncommon care and love That such a one as he Would always need abundantly, Someone who would agree That special children bring with them So many blessings bright, And those who love them are bestowed with moments of delight. So there below he spied someone. "Ah there she is", he smiled, And sent his gift from heaven down, His precious special child. This blessed gift was born to one On Whom God would bestow The strength to bear the joys and trials She was about to know. The Father never left her side. His guidance always there. Through trails and pleasures ever strong, And days she could not bear The pain she felt protecting him From all the world's cruel taunts, The stresses of his many needs The burdens of his wants. The Father opened up his arms And folded them inside. He gave her strength and fortitude His help he did provide. He showed her how the smallest gains To Him were magnified. He pointed out accomplishments. He filled her heart with pride. He showed her how to use His eyes To find what few would see, The treasures deep within this child He gave to her the key. With love and understanding She helped her charge to grow, Rewarded daily by the trust That only mothers know. B. V. Dahlen
....and then there are those unique few With whom He makes His bond To care for children they've not born With courage to respond To His request to nurture one Who'll need their steadfast care. He searches far and ponders long To find one who is so rare, And then He gives to them the faith The sacred trust assigned. Into their care He places one And to their hearts He'll bind This one He loves so dearly This special cherished child This minuscule reflection Of when the Father smiled. B. V. Dahlen

Sure. I thought I sent this to you when I wrote it.
You did, but I don't think I ever shared it with those lists. Seeing them here reminded me.
