Ok ladies, need hairspray help
I have short hair again and need help with hairspray (I like fluffy hair rather than flat). BTW I have very fine, thin hair. I used to use Rave (can no longer find it) What do you use that holds your hair. I tried the Suave '8' put after an hour or so it really wears off.
Bed Head has some great products.
Ditto Shelly, as well as Matrix, Biolage and I love Vavoom and also Kenra and Brocato maximum hold. Can you tell I'm a hair products junkie?!?!? LOL Use a good styling gel or manipulator and put it on the roots, dry the roots, and spray some hair spray on use other products on your finger tips and *mold* your hair the way you want it. I play with mine all the time - it never looks the same twice, some days it's FULL of product, others, not so much. I have learned to twist ends with a bit of manipulator or spray on my hands and give my hair a really wispy look. Most often, my hair is wild and sticks up and out, and I like it that way. I have found that to get *really* good hold, you need a product that is not the normal drugstore variety, though most of the pharmacies and grocery stores now carry a lot of the brand name products. If you have Super WalMart near you with a salon, go in there and look around - you'll be sure to find something.
Paul Mitchell has some good products, too.
I have fine, thin and short hair myself. Whatever kind of hairspray you use, make sure that it is aerosol. The spritz kind is too heavy and will weigh down your hair, I have also found that mousse is better than gel as again, the gel is too heavy.
Marg, I have used Rave #4 for a while now and still do. I love it. If ya need some let me know I will send ya some
Thanks ladies! Kath, where are you purchasing you Rave from?
I have such an amount of hair, that the only spray that has ever worked was Joico Ice Mist. It was like cement! I used it in the 80's for my BIG hair. Now, if anything, I just use some wax.
My dd and I both have very fine hair and we use Amplify aerosol. It's a VERY fine mist and is specifically for fine hair that you want to give volume to. You have to get it from your stylist, though. It's well worth the price because it lasts a long time.
