I am so excited! I never thought of myself as a "dog" person, but I decided a few months ago I wanted a puppy, something that would be of a small breed. Dh started to get excited about the idea, since I never showed any interest before because I knew I'd be doing the work. I just started to feel like I really wanted to give a dog a good home and the time was right and I've been looking for one for a while. Well I found her!

She is at a foster home about an hour from where we live and is a Boston Terrier-Beagle mix. She is black and white with spots like freckles. We were supposed to bring her home this week but she couldn't get into the foster owner's vet until next week to be spayed. I am just about busting with excitement! I keep looking at all the cute doggie beds and toys. I never thought I'd be like this about an animal,lol!

LOL!! Best of luck to you both... Ouch!! on the spaying. We have had our Sam (Toy Poodle) for 16 years this June.. He is a good ole boy... Going to miss him when he isn't with me anymore... He has been with me longer than three of my kids...

Anyway, enjoy... They can be a lot of fun..

Ahh Rayelle, you ROCK for adopting instead of buying. Where I live in Los Angeles, for every dog that is bought, 150 shelter dogs die. Good luck with your new doggie. Beagles and Bostons are great high energy dogs. Make sure you give her lots of walks and things to chew on!

WOW! I'm so happy for you all. We recently got a new puppy and we love him so much. Our older dog, Jasmine, did not like him at first, but now she treats him like her own child. It's so sweet to watch. She even lets him eat & drink out of her own bowls even though he has his own. Good Luck!
