I test this week for my brown belt. Physical/knowledge tonight and then sparring/knowledge Wednesday night. Wednesday doesn't worry me. It's the physical that freaks me out! lol Hopefully I won't die. Especially since I'm still getting over this sinus crud. I'm trying not to stress too much. If I weren't ready for this, my instructor wouldn't test me. I just hope I get through tonight and then I should be home free! If I pass everything (I've already turned in my written test) I'll get my next belt Wednesday night.

Thanx, everyone. I survived tonight and got my fourth stripe (we get stripes every 5-8 weeks to show progress, when we get four stripes we test for our next belt). Now I just need to make it through Wednesday night.

Yes, Debbie, I did have my hesitations. Tonight was rough, but I wasn't going to give up. My sides and stomach hurt pretty bad at one point (side effect of the antibiotics I'm on). Our instructor isn't a slave driver, though (although at times he can seem like one! lol). He always tells us if we ever need to sit or get a drink, do it. Tonight he said it again and said, "I can't read your minds." He's really a great guy. I never imagined I'd enjoy this as much as I do. The people I train with have become like family to me and my kids. It's really great.
