Stupid question...
...but are they allowing liquids back on planes again?
Maybe this will help. http://www.faa.gov/passengers/ BTW, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
Milk rules It says I can bring baby formula or breast milk if I have a toddler. What about normal milk and/or juice? I think it's quite discriminatory to say formula or breast milk only. ??? Anyone travel with a toddler lately?
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#10 Looks like you can bring milk/juice, but with limitations.
I have a friend coming in at BWI tonight and so I was browsing their website and found some info but i don't know what airport you are going to so you may have to check their site. liquid rules
So, do you think they'll let me on with a 10 oz juice or regular milk sippy?
I hate BWI's TSA...I was almost escorted out of the airport last time. But, yes, it's BWI.
Maybe I can take some empty sippy cups and fill them once I get on the other side, in the secured area. Do they sell milk "on the other side"?
It's a shame you have to go through this. I wish I had the answers for you. I'll ask around though.
When I flew in January I was allowed to take on a Starbucks coffee I had bought in the terminal. Of course, what is available in each airport is different, at KCI there aren't refreshments inside of the security areas, but at O'Hare there was a whole food court. Your other option is to pre-board, since you have small children, and immediately ask the attendant to get you a juice before they taxi so you can fill the sippy. They usually won't have issue with that.
