Wow. A lot's going on here...
With everyone here going through such tough times my problems seem small. I haven't been around here the past few days. My mom got a new computer and I went to her house to get it up and running with the anti-virus, etc. (Vista hasn't even been out much more than a month and already has Windows security updates!) It took all day with the dial-up, and I still didn't get her printer installed. My MIL came up to visit for a few days just to get away. I took her home yesterday afternoon and then last night I had a PTO meeting and then I had to deal with ds about his "friend." Now today ds is sick and had spent the entire morning throwing up and now he is so hungry he can't stand it but he can't keep liquid down yet so he can't eat. He hasn't thrown up in about 2 hours, so I am just waiting for him to brave some toast. I desperately need to get my house cleaned but I don't want to disturb ds. He is so uncomfortable- he wants me to turn the heat up but then he wants the ceiling fan on. He has a low grade fever- about 99. Oh, and Friday AM I have to go back down to MIL's and take her to see her gastroenterologist for consultation for her colonoscopy. I am so sorry that Stacy's grandpa died and Yvonne's chemo buddy died. Wanda's dh's best friend passing was so sad - my dh has had a best friend for 30 years and I don't know what dh would do without him. And I am praying for Kate's dad. I am thankful that Annie is picking herself up and dusting herself off. Good for her! If I missed anybody, I am sorry. It's just all so overwhelming sometimes to see so many good people hurting.
Yikes, you have a lot on your plate, too! My life has actually been pretty mellow!
Lisa, you have alot of stuff going on, my goodness. I hope your ds feels better soon. There is nothing worse than throwing up. And I hate when my kids have a stomach bug. Poor thing. Thanks for your kind words about me. We will all get through these times...with each other's help, of course.
Lisa, how is your DS feeling today?
Thanks for asking! He stayed home again today from school. He was so tired and said he still didn't feel good. I think he just needed to get some food into his system. Around noon he had an egg and a slice of toast. Tonight, he had a hamburger for dinner, so he's doing fine now. We are pretty sure he got this bug from his neighbor friends, a pair of brothers who took turns being sick over the weekend. Sunday, when one brother was sick, the other one showed up to our house to play, and vise versa on Monday.
Hope things are improving.. (((LISA)))
Yep, all's back to normal! He is eating like the growing boy that he is and is going to spend the night at a friend's house tonight.
