Quiet evening at my house
The band teacher, took the kids down to Milwaukee tonight, to an Admirals hockey game, to play pep band music. They had to be back at school at 4:15 and will be home at 11pm. It sounded like so much fun. They even got to travel in a coach bus, rather than a school bus, too. More people were coming, than would fit in a school bus and the coach bus ended up being about the same price as 2 school buses, I think. Anyway, Emily had Spanish homework, that she did during biology and they discussed a recent test so long, that she didn't assign biology homework tonight. Emily had no other homework. Sarah got her homework done in study hall, so no one had homework to worry about tonight! We stopped off at Subway, on the way to picking them up from school, so they could eat right when we got home, and they have money for treats at the game. Sarah brought her camera, so there will be some pictures. I can't wait to hear about it. Oh yeah, and DH is at work, so it's just the dog and me! Can you say peace and quiet?
Jealous!! A quiet evening sounds lovely. Though, I don't know what I would do, lol. Probably just watch tv or something!
I played my piano, for a while! Otherwise, have just hung out by the computer. I have to get garbage together for tomorrow. How romantic!
Oh, I am so envious! I can't wait til 8:30. Then it is my time Only 2 more minutes!!!!
Dawn, what a great adventure for the girls. I can't wait to see pics. Your dd's photo are always so creative. Enjoy your free time!
All I hear is my little heater, in the basement, and the dryer running. Oh, I guess the furnace is running, too, but it's hard to hear it over my little space heater. They were looking forward to the bus ride, too, since they got to ride a fancy bus and not just a school bus. They were going to be able to watch a DVD, too, something they don't get in our personal vehicles.
Isn't strange to have the house to yourself, Dawn? I'm so glad you have some time to enjoy the quiet. (Well except for that space heater and the dryer, lol) I am eager to hear about their trip, too. And of course, the pictures as well!
They had a lot of fun, even if hockey really isn't their thing. The representative from the team, that was in charge of the band, told them they did a good job and it offset the sadness from the Admirals losing! They both came home all bubbly and excited. Unfortunately, we have a very busy day ahead of us, so we might not get the pictures posted today. Between work, teacher's conferences and Gary's cousin's funeral, there isn't a lot of free time.
I'm glad they enjoyed the trip. I look forward to seeing the pictures, so just post them whenever you can.
