Is there frosting on this???

By Tsa on Monday, February 26, 2007 - 07:46 pm:

We sprinkled powdered sugar on top and it was gone in ONE day. My family is not big sweet eaters either but they loved this one.

I have never put frosting on it. It simply does not need it.:) I do, however, sprinkle chopped nuts and chocolate chips on top before baking.

This is our recipe:

Fudgy Cheesecake Swirl Brownies

Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter or margarine
2 bars (2 oz. each) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Unsweetened Chocolate Baking Bars broken into pieces
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar divided
4 large eggs
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

MELT butter and baking bars in a medium, heavy-duty saucepan over lowest possible heat, stirring until smooth. Cool to room temperature. Stir in 1 3/4 cups sugar. Beat in 3 eggs; stir in flour. Spread into prepared baking pan.

BEAT cream cheese and remaining 1/2 cup sugar in small mixer bowl. Beat in remaining egg and vanilla extract. Pour over chocolate mixture; deeply swirl batters with knife.

BAKE for 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out slightly sticky. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
