How's Bubbles doing on her resturation of their home?
Last time I heard they were still so busy just getting things back together. Tell her "HELLO!"
Still working on it. Hoping to be done by April!! I'll tell her you said *Hi*. They've been doing a lot of the work themselves, so that's why it's taken them so long.
Thanks Karen! Let her know I think about her all the time. If she (or you) have the chance to post some picture of before and after, I'd love to see.
Yes, please tell her that I think about her and Amy a lot and we miss them.
Hello there! Yep. We're *still* working on the house. DH and DS are doing it all themselves (in between work and school), so it IS taking a while, but it should be nice when it's done. In the meantime, we're living in a camper on our front lawn. Stepping inside the camper makes you think you just walked into the FBI's mobile headquarters. We have four computers in here (one for each of us)! OK. We may be roughing it, but some things are just a necessity, right? LOL I've been busy running my new business, Creating Online, LLC. Started out as a web design firm, but while I'm still doing web design, my passion has turned to photography. Karen and I are shooting photos for stock, which is photos that people can license to use on their website or in print media, etc. Here's the link to our gallery if you'd like to check it out. We're really hoping to turn this into a full-time income *eventually*. Here are direct links to my two portfolios: Pam's Portfolio 1 Pam's Portolio 2 And here's a direct link to Karen's portfolio: Karen's Portfolio If any of you would like to turn your photos into money, come on and join us! You can sign up here. Amy and Mike are building a new house about 45 minutes from here. It should be finished mid February. I'm so excited to have them much closer than they were at the Fort Polk Army Base (4-1/2 hours away). I get to see my grandkids several times a week, so I'm just in heaven. Dana and Holly, post and give me an update on what's been happening in your lives. I haven't been able to get to MV as much as I'd like, mostly just troubleshooting and helping out when I can. I'd love to hear what's been going on with you guys.
OMG, those pictures are so good... Makes me want to carry my camera around with me all the time, snapping shots. Truly lovely pictures.. I had to look at everyone of them. LOL Best of luck to you both, that would be my kind of job but I don't think I am that good with a camera. Karen, so jealous of the under the sea shots, what a memory to have.. Pam, I am wishing you and your family the best.. I hope/pray you guys can get back in your home asap. It breaks my heart to see the conditions that are still going on down there. It is almost as if it is out of site out of mind to the rest of the states until something on TV shows us the current state of things and then it sends out a wave of the truths to us all. Breaks my heart, riches country and our people are left virtually homeless.. Please wish Amy and Mike my best.. I am so very proud of them both.... I am sure the boys are getting huge. Tell her I miss seeing her post... You all take care and don't be strangers.. Life is busy, I know..
hmmm *richest* country
Thanks for updating us. I would not want to be without my computer. I'll look at the pics later. I was just here for a quick visit.
Thanks Bobbie. DH and I *LOVE* snorkeling, and have talked about getting dive-certified. You all know we love the tropics/beaches/ocean, and of course, the photos that go with it. We bought a relatively cheap underwater digital camera for this last cruise and it took amazingly good pictures underwater. The land pics were good too - the colors were very vivid and bright. I am NOwhere near as good as Pam and a couple of the other members on her site. I just don't have the time to devote to it right now. But one day.............. LOL
LOL I think we all are living for "one day". I think they were great pictures..
Pam, I almost missed your update. Lots to share w/ you on how my life has changed since the huricanes. Namely, DS turns two today! I was pregnant and miserable when pregnant and living thru all those storms in a row and without electricity while pregnant. Gladly, that is all a memory now. I am starting my own business, and am sitting on the floor of my "space" as I type now. I am suppose to be cleaning and charging up the choo choo train. It is an indoor playroom for moms and preschoolers.....pretty much a large step up from LNP. I will be doing my LNP playgroup along w/ many other classes in my new business. With the help from the moms here, my business name will be Mommy's Cozy Corner. Speaking of that. What do you suggest for the best price and service on setting up my website? I'll be using front page again. Still more to update, but no time now. I will send an email to you when things slow down and I have time to write it all out.
Pam and Karen, your photos are just incredible! Karen, I knew you were into photography, but I had no idea! Really, really beautiful, professional shots. You both are gifted, I think.:-) There are certainly some talented ladies here at MV!
I was very glad to see this post! I know you are busy, but I do miss seeing you and Amy on the board! Thanks for the update. As for the pictures... one word: *Incredible*! All of them. I wish I had talent like that!!
