Urgent prayers needed
I just received an email telling me a little boy from my town went in to have his tonsils out early this morning. He ended up going code blue and is now fighting for his life. If you all could say a quick prayer for him, that would be great. It doesn't sound like he's doing too well so he needs every prayer he can get. Thanks, ladies.
Thoughts and Prayers to the little guy and his family. That is terrible!
AWWW how awful! I will say lots of prayers for the little guy and his family.
That's horrible. Many prayers...
Oh no! Storming Heaven for this little boy... Please keep us posted.
I'll keep this poor little boy and his family in my prayers. Let us know if you get any news.
OHMYGOODNESS!! The family must be going through so much!!!!! Ugh. Lots of prayers sent!!!
Just received an update. It's pretty grim. After surgery, Seth was having trouble swallowing and then had a seizure which sent him into a code blue. They are trying to life flight him to our area trauma center in Peoria. Because of the flurries we are having, all flights are grounded so they are transporting by ambulance. It's about a 45 minute drive. He is currently on life support and they aren't sure what will happen once the reach Peoria. He's just a little over a year old. He's had some medical issues since he was born but I can't remember all of the details. The mom is pregnant with her third child and is due in March. So, she needs prayers, too. Thanks for everything ladies. Keep those prayers coming.
That is so horrible, I will pass this along to my family so they can pray as well!
Prayers are being sent. Please keep us updated.
Some good news finally. Seth made it to the new hospital. They have him on a vent still but his heart is beating on its own right now. His parents have finally been allowed in to see him and touch him. They are taking it hour by hour at this point. Thanks for your prayers, ladies. He's not out of the woods yet but at least there is a ray of sunshine now. I'll keep you posted on how he is doing.
I didn't see this sooner (been out all morning) but continued prayers for his recovery.
Poor little guy, I hope he's going to be alright, what a terrible thing to happen with something so routine! Please let us know when you know something.
He's had another seizure but it didn't stop his heart this time. They did an MRI and have a neurologist working with him. They've increased his oxygen and sedated him. The mom is 32 weeks pregnant and has been having some small contractions so they are worrying about her, too, now. Thanks for all of your prayers. It sounds like they are going to have some rough days ahead of them.
I will keep them in my prayers.
Oh My God! (and I mean that as a prayer) Something so routine as tonsils ... Keep us posted. Ame
I've been praying all day....please continue updating us.
They are in my prayers!
Continued prayers.
Prayers sent.
Continued Prayers.
This morning the news is more encouraging. He had 4 or 5 seizures yesterday but they seem to be stopped for the moment. They are going to keep Seth for 10 -12 days to continue testing and monitoring him. The mom is actually only 29 weeks pregnant, not 32. She's still contracting but not as often. She sent an email this morning asking folks to pray for Seth's body to have the strength to continue the fight, for her and her DH that they continue to have the strength to be strong for Seth, for the unborn baby, that he be patient, and for their other son who is being cared for by relatives but misses mommy really badly. He's used to only being with mommy. Thanks for your prayers, ladies. You gals are the best.
I'll continue to pray for little Seth and all of his family.
Prayers going out. How scary for that family!!
Here is a note Seth's father sent out today. He's OK with it being shared. Thank you for praying for Seth. Last night was very good for the little guy. He is still on the vent but they are going to try to wean him off and see if he can breathe on his own. They had to tube him three different times because they could not get him to safe oxygen levels. They put a "5" tube in him which is for older kids around 8 or 9 because the others just were not working. Seth woke up today and watched us and wanted to play with my cell phone which is his favorite past time. Then he cried when mommy left the room. (Could not hear him because of the vent, but his little face was so sad and wrinkled.) The thing that we have to watch is how much he is tore up from being intibated 3 times and having his tonsils out. They are worried about swelling and the throat closing up when they take the tube out. So, they will be watching that closely when the time comes. Right now he needs the vent. The Doctors have been wonderful here. We got a report this morning that he has Pneumonia. They are working up a Head CT and an MRI today for the little guy. We need to figure out why he has had seizures. They do not believe that he is epileptic, but there is another reason he is seizing and they are trying to find out what that is. Seth is a little fighter and we have had so many people praying for him and we really appreciate you all. Please continue to pray for him as we fight through this. We will continue to update you on His progress.
Thanks for the update. This little boy and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
I am so happy to hear that he is awake and alert. It hurts my heart that all of this is happening to the little guy. My prayers will continue to lift him and his family up.
My thoughts and prayers continue
It breaks my heart to hear that the little guy is having such problems I will continue to pray too
Gosh, that is scary! A relatively simple operation that can go so wrong. I will continue to pray for him and his Mom.
