Hardwood flooring
We just installed hardwood flooring. How do you clean it?
I clean mine with warm soapy water with just a little soap or Murphy's oil soap and then go over it again with just plain warm water if I have the time. Congrats on your new floor.
Vinegar and warm water...
Vinegar and water or Windex and water.
vinegar and warm water here too sometimes i add a splash of mr. clean just to make it smell good.
Is it actual wood floors or laminate? When we had actual wood floors in Chicago, I used vinegar and water. I actually had instructions from the company that refinished them for us. It said to only use vinegar and water. If you used any type of chemical cleaner, the warranty would be void. Do you have any instructions that came with them?
I have all hardwood floors in my house and my fil is a professional hardwood flooring installer and refinisher. He swears by Bona Chemi. I love it, too. It is a concentrate that lasts a long time. I moved in 4 years ago and am still on my first gallon. I mix it with water in a spray bottle, spray the floor and then use a swiffer mop or clorox mop to wipe the floor. It's great. Ame
vinegar and water.
I mix murphy's oil soap in a spray bottle and spray the floor. I use a swiffer to spread it around/clean it up. Works great!
We put down hardwood in the living room and hall the week after Christmas (dh needed something to occupy his week off). And we got the swiffer mop and dry duster both. I still like to sweep a couple times a week. But I'm loving the Swiffer thing.
