I'm going to school !
I am very excited. dh and I both registered today. My youngest dd just turned 3 in dec., so she is old enough for the on site child care at the college. We both have the same schedules, just different courses. I have 2 classes there and 2 online. It will be a new experience for dd to be in a daycare type place, but I don't have grandparents to depend on 100% like I did when I went before because now they all work. She'll only be there for 2 hours 2 days a week and always has an imaginary school day when my older 2 talk about what they did. I genuinely want to learn, I know it will be hard sometimes but right now I am so happy.
Wow, that's great news! Good for you, but um what are you studing?
Good luck Rayelle! I am very happy for you.
Good luck Rayelle! I am very happy for you.
Goodluck Rayelle, Your young, You can do it! Take it a course at a time. I'm having anxiety as I post about my upcoming classes..LOL
I am going for psychology. I guess that's why I'm excited, it really interests me. I had psych 101 already, so I'm able to take some more specific courses.Right now I'm at the community college, so my course requirements are pretty basic. That's good,it has been awhile, lol. I didn't have to take any placement tests since my sats and acts were high enough.Dh has been going for education. He wants to be a high school history teacher. He took last semester off becauase of work. You're right Truestori, just one step at a time! When I was younger I was too mad at myself for not going right out of high school. Like when I was 21 I kept thinking how I could have been done instead of focusing on the present. Not as mature as I thought I was I guess I hope to continue straight through to my bachelors, maybe further, but right now it's just this semester. Thanks for the encouragement!
Rayelle, that is terrific news! I'm working on my elementary ed degree right now, and have been for over a year. I did go to college right after highschool, but only for an Associate's Degree in something that I was guaranteed a decent paying job: Legal Assisting. I did this because I had a baby that I wanted to be able to support. So I put my dreams on hold, and did what was necessary. It took me forever to pursue my dream of teaching, but once I took the plunge, I was so happy. I have taken a few psychology classes and really enjoyed them, too. Way to go! And if you ever need some encouragement, come here and vent away.
Way to go!! I'm thrilled for you. Best of luck!
Good for you!
