Need Help with Wording
Some of you may know that I started selling Avon last month. Things are going well, but I have trouble asking for money. LOL! Many of my customers have ordered by email and I usually send them a confirmation when their order comes in. This confirmation details what they ordered and how much it costs. I would like to put a note on the confirmation that lets them know that I only affect cash but I don't know how to say it nicely. Just a one liner. Any suggestions? TIA
"Cash only, please. No checks or credit cards".
When you are in business, you need to be firm yet polite. I wish I had known that when I did daycare years ago....I used to have trouble asking for money as well, which my husband didn't understand. He was like "Well, you worked for it and they owe it to you, and it's a business, not a charity." Now I do ebay, and I stipulate in the listings that payment is required (not expected or needed, but required) to be made or sent within 7 days after the end of the auction. 5 days after one auction, one guy hadn't paid me, so I sent him a nice email saying something like, "I know we tend to get busy and sometimes forget when we bid on a listing, so this is just a reminder that payment is required within 2 days. If I don't hear anything from you, I may file a non-paying bidder claim and relist your item, so it is important that you contact me soon." But, your question was about accepting cash, and Hol's line says it short and sweet, yet firm.
Good advice above!
