I love little "gadgets" like this!
It stops your groceries from flying everywhere and you can use the handle to bring your bags in from the car all at once! How cool is that? It also folds flat when you don't need it! (And, no, I don't own a Saab...I just did a google search.) CargoHook
Very cool idea! I hate driving down the road hearing my groceries rolling around, it makes me cringe. Also, bringing all the bags in together helps a lot; especially when you have little children. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe this one would be better? I wonder what Trina would say about the cargo hook...projectile in an accident? hhhhmmm... Cargo Organizer I have heard of this one before but you can't bring your groceries in all at once.
Wouldn't that be heavy to bring in all your bags at once? I know some grocery bags can be so heavy all by themselves. (Or at least the bag kids pack them that way! I know I make them lighter, when I pack them.)
I have a similar organizer to the second one built into my Saturn VUE, but I rarely use it. We live so far out that "little" grocery trips are rare. I'm always getting a full load that fills my back end, so I never have to use my pop-up organizer. These are a nice idea though! I miss my trunk in my old car...I would pick a car trunk over an SUV cargo space ANYDAY!
I bought this for Connor so I wouldn't have to keep trying to get his toys off the floor! Kids Organizer Console
Poor gal's cargo organizer!
I like Lisa's organizer, you can also buy plastic bins that you can store your grocercies in and they fold flat when you are not using them. I think the other things would be way too heavy to carry fully loaded with groceries. Heidi, does the organizer you bought for Connor attach to the car or is it sitting lose? My only concern about that would be getting into an accident and having it fly around the inside of the car, we don't leave anything lose in the car for that reason, even the dog has a seat belt. LOL
Hey Heaven! I clicked the links and read, and you attach it with a seatbelt, and it has a lid and stuff, so looks to be okay! How are you doing? Recovered yet? Hope you had a Merry Christmas, besides the Ball toy meltdown! Teehee!
LOL Cocoabutter!! That's the truth! I love those boxes. Heidi & Heaven...do your boys have multiple toys in the car? Natalie just has a travel Magna Doodle and will choose a book to take if she wants to. Natalie couldn't get into that toy organizer and would probably get frustrated.
Ugh, sorry Heidi excuse me while I take my foot out of my mouth. Adena, all is well, I'll send you an email. Deanna, we cannot give toys to Matthew in the van as he usually whips them at our heads at some point during the trip. I give him a juice box and many times it hits the wind shield or dashboard scary the "you know what" out of us. I might give him a small car but that's it. We also couldn't use the organizer that Heidi has as we have bucket seats so there is just open space between the two monsters. If the kids get restless in the car I just crank up the music. Sometimes their music but most times it's my music.
I just wondered. It sounded like maybe you both did toys. We just don't do them because I don't want my car filled with toys!LOL Natalie has always been a good rider, but she loves music so we've got about 50 cds in the car, too(between hers and mine!)
I put a few toys back there for him like his small travel sized choo choo trains, a few paper books, and his helicopter. He can put them on top because it has sides that go up to hold it all and they won't roll off. And, I usually rotate his books/toys every 2 weeks. We practically live out of the car since Scott has been gone...even if I have to just get milk, he's gotta go with me! It does a number on my body, for sure. As he gets older, he will use the sippy holders on the side but he's not big enough to access them. I usually just hand him his sippy cup and after he's done, he puts it on the console. Heaven, I can't even imagine projectiles like that! Holy baseball potential!
