Yesterday I got my permanent veneers put in,(some of you might've remembered my temporary veneers post?) Anyway I was in alot of pain after having it done, my gums were really swollen and two of my teeth weren't in the best of shape and so they got some "extra attention". I am miserable, anyway the dentist gave my a perscription for viocodin, that while it did ease my pain it kept me up all night!! I also got some stomach queasiness with it which I believe is normal, but instead of making me drowsy it only kept me up instead.

So what I am asking do certain kinds of medicine keep you up when it says you may have drowsiness? Niquil does the same thing to me...

Yes, certain drugs can have the opposite effect on people. Just like Benedryl and such have never put my kids to sleep! LOL! Not even codeine! So it is a perfectly normal side effect, and actually may go away after taking a couple doses.
