This is a note that was sent home with my kindergartener yesterday. My son said that only him and one other kid in the class got a note, and the other kid's note was a little bit different I guess.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. F****

I would like you to know that throughout this year, Joey has been a wonderful example in music class. His eagerness to learn and his growing enthusiasm for music make him a great role model for his classmates. As I am sure you hear at home, he has a nicely developing singing voice and is a nice leader in preparing for our upcoming holiday concert. I wanted to be sure you were aware of his good efforts and greatly appreciated positive attitude. I look forward to the rest of the year!

His regular teacher mus have been proud of him too because Joey said he read it aloud to the class. Which made Joey feel very proud too!

It is so nice that she takes the time to write a positive note to parents!
She's a young teacher, this is only her second year teaching and I think she is doing great.

I just had to share that note, it really brightened my day.

Way to go, Joey! It is wonderful that his music teacher took the time to write a note! Also, it is great that his teacher allowed him to read it to the class.

It's great that there is recognition of children who are excelling in a world where kids who are talented are often not recognized so as not to offend any of the other kids.
