Online shopping
I get up early on black friday, do most of my shopping and call it good. I do very little actual buying online, although I check it out there first. Well my MIL shops exclusively online. She is having quite a bit of stuff sent this way. For my son he got an ipod nano, ordered the end of oct. He just got it last week, after the first one mysteriously disappeared (ahem stolen probably). But it took an arm and a leg and several phone calls for them to reship it, it never showed up at my house. So today I am home, the ups driver dumps and runs with my stuff, I am literally 9 feet from the front door, I do not see him. All three boxes are crushed. One is a golf club, ugh, anyway, I open box 1 contents are okay, open box 2, contents okay, but no shipping receipt, open box 3...it is EMPTY!!! Ugh...i called toys r us and got it straightened out, but geesh. It is unusual to have issues with shipping and to have 2 big ones so close is crazy. Anyway...off the rant for now.
Oh...too bad. I do a lot of shopping all year online and I've never had a shipping problem. What a pain!
Never had a shipping problem here either. Just got a pair of basketball shoes today. Sorry you had a problem.
I do the majority of my shopping online too. No problems here either. Sorry you had to deal with the bad luck. If the item is particularly important, I always pay a couple dollars extra so that it has to be signed for. That way it doesn't get left at the mail box (USPS), or on my porch (FEDEX, UPS, DHL, etc.) Hope you have better luck next time!
We had a problem, with a camera for Sarah, in the summertime. DH paid extra for expedited shipping and it didn't make it here, in the 2-day window. Grrr. The company ended up refunding all our shipping, as a result. (The camera company, not UPS. I imagine that Newegg got to deal with UPS.) For things from Lands End, we never have trouble. It's quick, since LE is in WI. I'm waiting for a jacket to ship from Maine now, so we'll see how long that takes. (It's in Hartford, CT, at the moment!)
