Help!!! Need to find toddler size slim jeans!!
Ok, Madison is built just like her father, and is lanky, so all pants I can find for her are too short, or too big in the waist. I know JC Penneys has slim for size 4T, but they are out of stock. I usually shop at The Children's Place, but they don't make slim in her size. Anyone have this problem, and know where I can find pants for her?! TIA!!!!
Yes, yes yes! DD is slim and not overly tall but everything is either fitting in the waist and too short or baggy in the waist and the right length. I have found Slims at Sears and Old Navy. And several places have those pants with the elasticized waists with buttons to pull the elastic to the right size. If that didn't make sense, I apologize. I have worked the past 4 days (Thanksgiving, the day after and the weekend after) and now I'm exhausted and rambling. Anyway, I have found them at Old Navy, Target, and the Disney Store at the mall. It's an adjustable elastic waistband.
We shop at Children's Place and they have them too! We have to pull them to their tightest spot. I wish *I* had that problem! LOL
Sears has my vote. Also the Gap may not have slim in the little sizes, but they run much slimmer than regular jeans. And is she potty trained? If she is, start looking at 5 slims and not the toddler jeans, the toddler ones are cut wider to accomadate a diaper.
My DD is a skinny minny and we have always had trouble finding jeans that fit well. Even slim fits with an adjustable waist don't quite cut it. Although we may be able to get them to "fit" they aren't comfortable for her so she doesn't like to wear them. She prefers either leggings or sport pants.
I used to find them for my kids at Penneys of all places, and I HATE that store.
I used to find them at Kohls, although they didn't carry the slims in every style. Good luck!
Gymboree carries slim sizes too
I have to get all of my son's jeans at Sears, and it's an hour away! Those are the only size slims that work for him. JC Penny's slims are not even slim enough. He can't wear their jeans. We've tried slim fit in wranglers and such at wal-mart, and those don't work either. He has to have all of his jeans from Sears. Good luck!
Mervyn's carries the "Sprockets" brand that runs slim. I use those for Kaitlyn's everyday play pants. For everything else I usually buy Baby Gap or Old Navy and pretty much anyone that has the adjustable waistband.
Natalie is very skinny through the waist but needs the length, too. I buy Old Navy pants because all of their toddler pants are adjustable waist. Hers have to be adjusted to the last hole. I love Old Navy toddler jeans. I did find a pair of adjustable waist Levi's at Kmart, but I found that the sizing was small in length. Sears here has NADA for toddlers.
My 6yr dd has the same problem, and the adjustable waists don't always work for her. It's just been trial and error for us. I've found that some styles of pants, like flare or boot leg seem to run longer, and I can get away with the smaller waist size then. Oh- Bongo brand jeans happen to fit her to a tee but I'm not sure they make toddlers. I bought a pair on clearance at Penny's when she was in a 4 and went back they fit her so good!
Thanks everyone! I know TCP has the adjustable pants, but it seems the elastic frays too easily. We don't have a Kohls or Mervyns here, the closest is Topeka, but I'll check their websites. I'd like to actually shop in store, since it's so hard to tell online, although I love online shopping. I knew you ladies would have great suggestions!!
