I was short on time today and bought a whole chicken to roast at the deli/butcher. Wow! What a huge difference over the supermarket variety. Right away, I noticed that it didn't smell like chicken. It had no odor at all!
It cooked up tender, juicy and full of flavor. I will neve buy a chicken at the supermarket again. Even though it was only 4 1/2 pounds, it was meaty rather than fatty.
My kids didn't even ask for ketchup .

Look around at different supermarkets Ame, I can buy Bell and Evans at two of mine - Shaw's and Market Basket.
