I splurged at the grocery store, because I needed new razors, anyway, and the Venus was on sale. I used it this morning, for the very first time. Now, I'm not one to splurge on a razor, because I don't use it all that often (I'm lazy), and I just don't want to spend the money on something nicer. I usually just get the feminine Bic razors.

Well, holy cow! I never new shaving could be so comfortable! The edges of the Venus are rounded, so nothing was jabbing my underarms, as I shaved. I also felt like the hair wasn't being pulled. I could hardly tell I was shaving, because I could barely feel it, but then I would look at the razor and it obviously did its job.

I also like the rubbery texture of it, which made it easier to hang onto, with wet fingers and it also sat on my towel rack much nicer than the Bic razors, when I was getting more shaving cream. The Bic ones would always fall off.

I can see now, why Sarah loves hers! I'm going to have to get one for Emily now, too! LOL!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I too, bought one this past summer when we had this conversation on MV. Now I won't use anything else. I keep meaning to call them to tell them how much I like it. Sometimes they'll send coupons.

I loved mine the first week, but then I became disenchanted. The blades dull much quicker than any other type of razor I've had. And the replacements are so expensive! Does anyone else find that it dulls quicker than most?

I just received a Gillette Fusion in the mail. I used to love my Venus but after using this razor once, I am a convert. It has five blades and little pressure is needed for a close shave. I went over my knees once without a single hair missed!

My boys have the Fushion razors for guys. They like them, too.

I don't find that the Venus blades dull any quicker. I get about six to ten shaves to a cartridge.

Six to ten shaves per cartridge?? That's not good news!! I always use my blades for four to six MONTHS!! And I use it everyday! If it's that fragile a blade I won't be using it anymore.
