Umbrella stroller - asap!
Natalie and I are driving to TN on Saturday with my mom to visit with my G'ma for a few days. My SUV is going to be packed to the brim as it is, and I feel like even though we *probably* won't use it, I should have my stroller with me. We still use our Graco Lite Rider and love it, although it does take up quite a bit of space. It would be a nice luxury to have a great smaller umbrella-type stroller, but the combi's I have looked at are just not in my budget when I really don't think we NEED one. However, if I could pick up an umbrella to take on our trip, it would save a TON of space! I've never used an umbrella with another child or owned one. Can I get a decent cheap one, or are the cheap ones really to cheap to even use? I really have no idea. We may not use one at all, but I want to have a stroller with me just in case. It would have to be something I could run out and buy tomorrow and $30 or less. I'd love to have a really cool one, but like I said, I can't justify it when we use the stroller only occasionally anyway, and even if I wanted one for Saturday, there's no where in town that sells them. I'd have to drive an hour each way and that's not going to happen. How are cheaper ones that I could buy at Walmart or Meijer? TIA
I bought mine at Target for $10 or so. It's great for short trips, etc.
The ones at Walmart are fine and you could pick one up for $10 or less. I have two and have not had any problems. I wouldn't want to do a day treck with them, but just to run in and out of the store they are great. The only disadvantage I can see is that there is no sun or rain protection and there is no basket on the bottom to put things.
Bought mine for $10 at Target and used it for years including a trek around Europe and other trips. Love umbrella strollers!
They are cheap at Walmart. I bought one, when my kids were a little older, for them to play with, for dolls, since little "doll" strollers are sooo cheap. We used it for a few years. Now it just sits in the garage, but I figure maybe I'll use it later on for grandchildren. I don't want to get rid of it, since it doesn't take up that much room.
Thanks guys! That's what I'll do!!
They have them at Wal-mart with a basket on the bottom also. Just have to look and still under $30 that is where I got mine. Plus it has a thing over the head for rain or bright sun and such.
