Ipod or MP3 player....
I don't know much really about either one, dd asked for an IPod, what is the difference? I feeling electronically challenged here!!
I believe that you have to use a certain site to download for an IPOD, and a regular MP3 can get music from any site. That's how it was explained to me, and I went for a regular MP3.
Ipod is an apple product. They were the first in the industry and a little ahead in technology. You do have to use the apple sight to upload your music (but can do this from CD). An mp3 player is a generic term, lots of people have them out. In reality if you are just listening to music they are pretty much the same. However, we are ipod users here. We love them, love the customer service. I am not an all name brand kind of person, but in high dollar items I also want something that will last and someone who will stand behind their product.
We have ipods, so I don't know anything about other mps players. Basically, an ipod is just Apple's version of an mp3 player. With an ipod, you can only download music from itunes, or your own cds. You can not go to other sites. Both dh and I have one. I really love mine. In fact, dh had trouble with his battery right after he bought it, he called Apple and they replaced it, no questions asked. They do have an ipod shuffle, which is about $100.00, it holds around 100 songs. The only downside of the shuffle is that you can't make playlists, and seperate your music. I think they now have the Nano, for around $150.00, which is a step up. You can make playlists, and do tons of other stuff. It holds lots of music. You can go to the Apple website and get information on all the ipods. I don't know about other mp3 players, so I am no help there.
