I need some good ideas for my dd's birthday slumber party, we are planning on having it on Oct 14, her birthday is Oct 11. I need food ideas, and activity ideas to keep the girls entertained, I am not a good party planner!! So far I thought of maybe a facial activity or painting their nails. Also I know that they can watch movies and that sort of thing. For food I know we can order pizza, and possibly have a make your own sundae deal. Any other good ideas that you all might have? I'd be grateful!!!

Last year we did a spa slumber party. The girls gave eachother manicures, pedicures, and face masks. Afterwards they put on make-up(glitter kind). I did several crafts with them. We made soap on a rope, scented bath salts, and candles in which they all took home in a goodie bag. It was a huge success. Since we were so busy, I kept the food simple with take-out pizza.

My dd turned 12 last year, what she wanted was space! I ordered pizza, we went out to the dollar theater and I left them alone. She had some games to play in her room, I had rented some movies for her, to watch if they wanted. I think the mostly talked, did nails and played pictionary.

When i was 14 and had a slumber party, we pretty much entertained ourselves. I wouldn't really plan anything to "entertain" them. Maybe they'd like to play some board games, or Pictionary, that's usually fun! Get a good "girl" movie like the Princess Diaries, or the Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff. Pizza, Popcorn and a sundae bar are all good ideas.

Sounds like a lot of fun!

Painting pillowcases is a fun activity. Then the girls can take them home as keepsakes.

You've already gotten great suggestions, but I wanted to add my ds's 13th birthday is the 11th! I still don't know what we're doing for it! lol Seems it's a good day, though. :)
