Mom and daughter duet
Okay, Emily sings in public all the time. She's ten. Well, there's a small talent show for our Fall Fling (outdoor festival) coming up and she wants us to sing together because there aren't usually too many people there. Anyone have any ideas of a song that we could do together? Fun, loving, anything? I'm not sure yet I'll do it, but we may.
Hmmm...no ideas here, but I wanted to encourage you to go for it! Sounds fun! BTW, is Emily still interested in the Pen Pal thing?
Yes. She actually wrote a LONG letter this weekend and I have to mail it as soon as I get out. I want to apologize because there has been so much going on the last several weeks since school started, that we kept thinking about it, and then would be going to do something, and then forget again! She actually got a solo singing part in the play that she is in, plus she has to play another role, so she has had to practice several times a week for that alone. It is a theatre that children have to try out for because they perform the play on stage between 7-9 times in one week for different schools all over the area. They've already sold almost 3000 tickets for it and the show isn't until the very end of November!!! She was sick this weekend and couldn't go cheer at the football game she was supposed to, so she finally got to write her letter!
Wow! Emily sounds super talented!! I wish we lived closer and could see her perform! You must be so proud of her.
nothing comes to mind right now except for Just the Two of Us. But what ever you choose, I hope you do, do it , Kate is right sounds like fun. Oh my gosh I need her to talk to my 10 year old, once home work is done I have to pull tooth and nails to get her to get out front of the tv. She did join the track team , but because of where we live and not having a car right now she had to drop out. Oh I too wished we lived near by she loves cheerleading we could go watch and support Emily( I'm going to surprise her by taking her to the cheerleading competition at Kings Dominion) later on next month for a late birthday gift.
I am so very proud of her. She really works hard, and she loves to sing. And she's not afraid in the least to be up on stage. The more people watching, the better! LOL! She just started the cheering thing this year and she is really enjoying it. I'm very lucky with both of my kids. They do their homework with no problem, and then they are off doing their thing. Sometimes I can't MAKE them watch television! LOL! And they each have their own! I never have to tell them not to watch it! However, I do have to get on her to read. She has to sit still too long to read, and that's just not her thing. She's a very good reader, but she'd rather be "doing" something. My ds, however, takes after me and loves to read! Thank goodness one of them does!
How about the older Donny and Marie Osmond song: She's alittle bit country; He's alittle bit rock and roll. Dress the parts and change the prononuns.
I don't know if you listen to country or not but The Judds were a mother/daugher group. They might have something you can do.
nevermind I just look up some of thier songs they might be too "old" for her.
