TV survey
http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/ptech/09/22/tvs.everywhere.ap/index.html New reports show there are now more tv's in each home than people. So what are your stats? We are a tv family here. 5 people 7 tv's. However 1 of those is set up for the karokee machine and one is in a closet (i won't let the kids have on in their rooms, and it was my dad's). My dream home will have a tv near the tub, right now I have a sony "watchman" that I plug in and set near so I can take nice long tubbys!
We used to have 3 t.v.s but when we moved we cut it down to one! 2 of them were old and not working right. I really really want one more so when dh wants to watch 24 and i want to watch....something other than 24 we can do that!
3 regular tvs and 1 computer/tv = ) so we are a tie lol...4 people 4 tvs
We have two - one which is a dvd/tv so I can watch dvds when I work out and the other is in our living room. We can also watch on the computers but that's a rarity. We are not big regular tv watchers. Our tv's are mostly used for dvds and playstation games.
We have two TV's for the 5 of us. One in the family room, one in the master bedroom. My dks think we're the meanest parents in the world since we've told them they can only have a TV in their bedrooms when they turn 18 or move out. The only other place I would want one is in the kitchen since I love to watch the news while I make dinner and the house is not set up so that I can see the TV from there.
4 people - 3 TVs - one in the family room - one in the masterbedroom, which is rarely used - one in the playroom that isn't hooked up to cable and is usually only used for the PS2
Two tv's. The 25" tv is in the basement and it's where we watch movies. The 20" one is in the bedroom and has a built-in DVD player. We have three computers for 4 people. 4 if you count the laptop, but we usually don't dig that out.
3 people, 2 tv's. One in the family room and one in the master bedroom. At some point, we may put a little one in our office/workout room, but it's not in the plans right now. One computer and I really can't see us having more than that anytime in the near future.
Well, that depends. We have 4 tvs but only 2 of them are plugged in, but we have 4 computers. But that is only one for everyone in the house.
4 tv's and 4 people. There is a tv in the kitchen, family room, master bedroom and guest room/play room.
4 people and 1.5 TVs We have a regular TV in the den and a really small one in the study that is rarely watched. No one is allowed (EVER) a TV in their bedroom at our house---adults included.
Four people, ONE TV! LOL
Four people, and we have two tv's, one in the living room, one in the downstairs family room. We also have a home theater, so I guess that counts as one, although it's mainly used for movies and football games. I, too, am in the "no tv's in bedrooms" camp!
2 TV's. One in the family room, and one in our bedroom.
4 people, 3 TV's. We have one upstairs that is not hooked up to cable, it is for PS2 only. We have one in the family room, and one in the study. I use the one in the study when dh and ds's start watching lots of sports, like during football season!!! We don't have any TV's in bedrooms either.
We have 5 tv's. A big screen tv in the living room. We use to have a tv in the kitchen, but we got rid of it. We have a tv in our bedroom, and both kids have a tv in their bedrooms...My favorite place to watch tv, is all snuggly in my bed when all 3 kids are asleep...thats the most relaxing part of my day
Two tvs, the plasma in the living room, and the kids have a small tv/dvd combo in their room. No TV in the bedroom, last time I had one in my room was when I was on bedrest during my pregnancy, and for a couple months after the kids were born.
Five people, three tvs. One in the living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in the guest room which hasn't been hooked up for about 6 months.
Four people, two TVs. One in the family room and one in the computer room. Computer room one is used when someone is sick...there's a daybed in there and they can hang out and rest and watch TV. Of course it's also used when we want to watch different things at the same time.
4 people and 3 TV's, 1 mini DVD player and 1 laptop computer. At Christmas time we will addd another TV/VCR combo for Jade's room and that will be it. 1 in the livingroom, 1 in each childs room and our bedroom and the portable DVD player for the Van for trips.
3 people, 6 TVs (1 just for video games), 2 computers.
4 people and 4 televisions. All hooked up to cable, but kids' tvs are rarely used. They watch cartoons as they wind down at night, and then I turn it to Radio Disney and turn it down very low for them to fall asleep. We have a very small, old tv in our bedroom that I use because I have difficulty falling asleep and watch it when I can't concentrate enough to read, until my meds kick in (not sleeping meds, meds to slow down my heart rate and such) so I can go to sleep.
Four people, five TV's. We are a TV family. The one in the living room and our bedroom is hooked up to digital cable. DH hooked up an elaborate sound system in the living room. I have one on the kitchen counter for me, and the boys each have one in their rooms, with a VCR/DVD player each, also, and their Playstation 2. The kitchen and boys' TV's are hooked up to cable, but not digital because I don't want them to get the movie channels, etc. Too much nasty stuff (not that WE watch it, but DH and I do enjoy HBO and Showtime). We also have a computer in the dining room, and Shawn bought his own laptop recently, mostly for college. We have a pretty extensive collection of movies, and we borrow movies from the library and also have Netflix, because we seldom GO to the movies. We USED to tape a lot of TV shows to watch later, and then we never watched them. I enjoy TV when I am folding laundry or doing crafts, but I also love to read, and encourage DH and the boys to read as well. DH has developed a love for reading, but the boys act like it is punishment.
We have 2 TVs, 2 DVD players & 3 computers - and right now it's just me & DH. The kids had their own and the stuff left with them.
7 people, 3 TVs.
We have 6 people-3 TVs,2 DVDs amd 2 VCRs-1 TV,DVD,VCR in family room,1 TV,DVD in DD room,1 TV,VCR in playroom.DD is allowed to watch DVDs on week-ends only,in her room.I will not allow Cable or Satellite to be hooked up to her TV or the playroom TV.She also has playstation in the playroom.
4 people 5 tv's 4 computers Oh my word! I just hadn't thought about it.
We have: 1 big screen in "theater room". This is where we watch our movies and really use the most. 1 big screen in the living room. It is used only for playstation/games. 1 TV in master bedroom 1 TV/DVD in each of the kids rooms (2) and 1 tv in the workshop. So we have ...6 TV's. That is crazy! There are only 4 of us. WOW! I grew up with 1 TV in the living room. Now it is common for everyone to have their own.
There are 7 of us, and we have 4 tv's. We have one in the living room, one in the computer/craft/exercise room, one in my oldest dd's room, and one in my 11 year old's room. If I was only allowed to have 1, that's the one I wouldn't get rid of. She wakes up at different times in the night, and has no idea about night and day. If she's up and the tv isn't on, she bangs until we all wake up. It's been an absolute life saver!!
4 people and 4 TV's. 1 large one in the living room 1 in each girls rooms and they hardly ever watch them any more. 1 in the basement(use to be in our bedroom) were we have our game room set up.
