Ladies... My dh bought me a new dell laptop, I have been having the worst time with it because I keep getting kicked off of the internet, I am using my old laptop which has no trouble staying connected. We use a wireless network connection that my dh set up, I am ready to send the computer back because I am ready to pull my hair out here!!! What could be installed on the thing that could be causing problems? Our other computers, dh's and kid's have no problem staying connected, dh works 3-11 shift and he hasn't been able to find time to troubleshoot this problem. Any ideas would be great!!!

I am by no means a whiz, but I do know that there are different wireless cards, & it may just be that something isn't configured correctly. Have you called Dell tech. support?

Is it connected to YOUR line? It could be automatically connecting to another line from next door and it's booting you off...dunno...I'll ask my bro.

Another thing is to call your internet provider. Sometimes the problems are at their end and they need to correct something.

But I wouldn't reload (I assume he menat re-install windows?) for that problem yet.
