Need ideas
I am sending my chemo buddy (13 year old girl) 25 gifts for Christmas in a big box that she will receive on December 1st. Since we will be gone half of December, I am labeling them and having her open one a day. Every few gifts, it will be for her and her brother (who is 10) to open. I need some ideas for little gifts that siblings would share or can both get. Ideas I have so far: 2 bags of candy kisses (Addison informed me they must both get their own bag LOL) 2 $10 gift cards to Target A gift card to Pizza hut (their favorite restaurant) I will include a note to tell them to treat their family to pizza that night. cocoa mixes and a bag of mini marshmallows I need 3 more ideas. I am stuck trying to think of something they would both like. Any ideas? Yvonne
You could do something like a card game (UNO is my girls fav and they are close to those ages or a little younger) or something they can do together like that. If you know of something they do a lot together like crafts you could get them some supplies to share.. like a drawing pad each and some colored pencils if they are into that kind of thing.. Don't know how you would feel about it but you could do the "blame my sister" and "blame my brother" t-shirts or something funny like that.
My son loves those shirts but...I believe this family is extremely religious. This may not be appropriate for them. I do not know so I will not go with it. The card game is a great idea. Thanks! Any more ideas?
My children love blockbuster baskets, nothing like sitting and watching a family movie, toss in a gc and some popcorn, maybe even a blanket to cuddle up with. What about books? Are there some great holiday books you could get them? My dd loves a good mystery. My dd also loves craft stuff, some pony beads to make beadie buddies. Those little kits with the things that get ironed on. A knitting set. What about some silly putty for both of them.
Those "I SPY" or "Can You FInd It?"books or something like that? They can share the book, or try to find things together.
What a great idea, Bellajoe! My kids have always loved those books! Heck, I love those books!
Oh I want blame my brother, blame my sister shirts for my kids! lol they'd love that they're always blaming each other!
Tarable, I've never heard of them but I would love to get my kids some tshirts like that ( blame my sister, blame my brother) can you please inform me where I can find them at.
klutz.com has some great gifts for kids.
I have seen the Blame your sister or brother t-shirts at Target. I am not sure where else they might have them. I would look online. My DDs have them and love them.
Either I haven't noticed because I didn't know what I was looking at, or they just haven't made it to the Targets on my end yet, but will keep an eye out thank you.
