Finger Sandwich question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2006: Finger Sandwich question

If you were making ham/turkey & cheese finger sandwiches for a party, would you cut the crust off? How would you cut them - in fourths, halves? Or crusts cut off and one smaller full sandwich? I'm making these in a couple of hours.
TIA!!:)

I'd make them crusts off, cut into four "long" sandwiches or into fourths diagonally so you'd have triangles. JMO, though.:)

Well, I'd probably cut them diagonally to make triangles, also. But Tink's other idea is really cute, too!

I think to be "finger" sandwiches, you would need to cut them smaller than in half, or they wouldn't qualify! LOL!

I would definitely do crust off. :)

I remember my mother had special cutters, like cookie cutters, that she would use in cutting out finger sandwiches. I remember a flower shape, for one, and a round shape that she also used as a biscuit cutter for rolled dough biscuits.

I use large cookie cutters to cut shapes in sandwiches also. I also sometimes use the pens that you can use to write on cake icing to draw or write on the sandwich bread. It comes out cute!
