Finger Sandwich question
If you were making ham/turkey & cheese finger sandwiches for a party, would you cut the crust off? How would you cut them - in fourths, halves? Or crusts cut off and one smaller full sandwich? I'm making these in a couple of hours. TIA!!
I'd make them crusts off, cut into four "long" sandwiches or into fourths diagonally so you'd have triangles. JMO, though.
Well, I'd probably cut them diagonally to make triangles, also. But Tink's other idea is really cute, too! I think to be "finger" sandwiches, you would need to cut them smaller than in half, or they wouldn't qualify! LOL!
I would definitely do crust off.
I did crust off and cut in half triangles. Thanks ladies!!!
I remember my mother had special cutters, like cookie cutters, that she would use in cutting out finger sandwiches. I remember a flower shape, for one, and a round shape that she also used as a biscuit cutter for rolled dough biscuits.
I use large cookie cutters to cut shapes in sandwiches also. I also sometimes use the pens that you can use to write on cake icing to draw or write on the sandwich bread. It comes out cute!
