Can not find a bathing suit...UGHHHH!
Okay, we live in FL. It is the end of July. Swimming weather will be around for another two months! I can not find a bathing suit for my 10 year old dd. She had two at the beginning of the season, April here. She lost one...somewhere at a friends house and her other one is pilly and stretched out. We've been to a few Walmarts, Kmarts, Targets, Limited Too, JC Penneys, Sears.... This drives me crazy. I can find heavy sweaters, though! Which we will not need until October!
Yep--we bought several on the clearance racks last month. Don't ya love seeing heavy clothing at stores in Florida?!
Isn't that stupid. In March when we still need heavy clothing our stores start stocking clothing for warmer months. You would think in this day & age they would stock clothing according to the weather the area has, not what it is "supposed" to have. I mean we still snow in May! Good luck finding a bathing suit.
Yeah, one year I couldn't find gloves for my ds, IN FEBRUARY. I was going to see if there were any bathing suits at Meijer tonight. I am on my own- hubby is at his brother's helping him rebuild an engine, and ds is at a friend's house.
I Just went out today looking for a swim suit. (Keep in mind I did this with a 2 & 5 year old in tow...what fun!) I went to a few sporting good stores, Mervyns, JC Pennys and I finally hit the jackpot at Macy's! They had about 6 racks all at 50% off. I actually found two suits that fit but only bought one. I got an $80 suit for $40. They also had tons of very cute Junior suits. YOu can also go online to see them and order some if you don't have a Macy's close to you. Good luck.
Check Old Navy. They have some and they only charge $5 for shipping on any order.
Have you tried online? Target.com Boscovs.com LLBean.com LandsEnd.com JCPenney.com
Annie, I actually found Kayla a second suit at Beall's recently. It was really cheap too! 9.99 I think, size 10. They should have them on the 50-70% off rack.
No, Yvonne, what is really funny is when there are people actually WEARING the heavy clothes because it is school season or because it is August or September. I cringe when it is 90 out and people are wearing flannel and hats!!!!!
Yes--very funny. I do not really wear seasonal clothes. Most everything is summer clothing. If it gets "cold" enough I will throw on a sweater or sweatshirt. I love fall. I crack up seeing people with long sleeves in 60 degree weather!
