East Coast Moms...Tropical Storm Coming.....

I guess tropical storm Beryl is making her way up the coast, and will hit just in time for the weekend. Friends of ours are getting married Saturday, and have a horse and wagon as the wedding vehicle. (They are horse people). I was so hoping for a good day for them.

DH and I were in Sears last night and I heard one of the young male sales people telling another one that there would be "15 to 20 foot waves tomorrow, Dude." I guess he's a surfer. That gets dangerous, tho. People go down to see the surf, or ride it and get into difficulty. Keeps the lifeguards busy.

I heard on the radio that it is moving northward toward New England. That's the last thing the east coast needs is more rain.

They are talking a lot about rip tides and the undertow. I don't think it will be that bad and I am hoping to hit the tide pools once it goes through.

I hope the time frame misses your friend's wedding.

looks like it's missing most of Massachusetts (except the cape). But it is ridiculously humid out from it.

Ditto, Collette! I had put my AC's off to try to conserve electricity after last weekend's oppressive heat. However, today, after waking up in a pool of my own perspiration (sorry. I know it's gross), I turned them back on. They will stay on unless this "cool front" that they're talking about, materializes on Monday.

The air outside feels like pudding!
