Badminton
Emily and I finally bought the badminton set we wanted. It took us forever to get it all set up, but then we finally did, and it stayed up, so we got to play for a while! Gosh are we bad! Emily kept hitting the birdie into the net! I finally was able to serve more consistently, after I played for a while! Our biggest volley was hitting the birdie three times in a row! Would be fun to have pictures, but no camera and no extra person to take pictures! LOL! We laughed so hard! We even got the dog interested in playing, with her own balls. Her balls have sit idle in the yard for weeks and weeks. She actually played with them both, while we were out there! Poor dog, we kept yelling at her, when she would start running to get her balls, because we were worried she was going to go visit the neighbor dog (neighbor doesn't like it). Finally I realized that she wanted her balls and I brought them closer. She was very happy. So, even she had fun!
I think badminton is so much fun in the yard! My brother and I used to play for HOURS in the summer. DH and I have a set, but haven't used it for years. I know Riff and Shelby would be stealing birdies right and left!
You just made me think...I bought a brand new set at Walmart last summer, and because I was so sick, never set it up. The boys and I will definitely give it a try. It has been about forty years since I played. I, too, used to play all summer, as a kid, with my sister, cousins and neighbor kids. Thanks for reminding me, Dawn.
Sounds like fun, Hol! Reds, Jasmine was right there on the grass watching us. She was actually more interested in the racquets, than the birdies.
We have rackets and birdies, but no net, so we went to the park to play on the volleyball court!
