I needed an easier way of getting art supplies in/out for Natalie that were closer to the art area (the kitchen) and was stumped. Everything was previously in a plastic storage box on one end of the house, and moving it toa front coat closet was going to require some reorganization that I didn't want to get into. I had this *clever* (LOL) idea and it is working GREAT for us. Thought I'd share in case someone else could use it. It's a shoe rack that I bought at Target for $5.99. Natalie also seems to think it's cool and helps me get out the supplies she needs.

That's so excellent!

I used to use a shoe organizer on the back of my bathroom door to organize bathroom supplies, like the hair dryer, hair ties, makeup bag, Q-tips, and even my nightgown. But then we remodeled the bathroom and I had room for that stuff elsewhere.

We use one in the playroom for dress up accessories, Polly Pockets and Star Wars figures. Play-doh goes in the top pockets where ONLY an adult can reach. I can't believe how much easier it is to find things when they're stored in this.

Tink and Insaneusmcwife...I've been thinking now of putting one on the back of her door (in the future, the toys are growing and growing) for things like Little People, cars, string beads, etc. Glad to hear those are the kinds of things you use them for. I put one on the back of the door to our office room/scrapbook room, just for scrapbook things that are taking up more and more floor space.

You're right, it is SOOOO much easier to find things!
