My Dad is back in the nursing home and he loves to get mail. Would anyone be interested in sending him maybe a postcard from where you live, or a get well card. He always loved learning things about different parts of the country and thats what I was thinking postcards would be great for him to get.

I'm just seeing this thread for the first time, at 10:30am on Tuesday.

Sunday, we had church, then packed the car to drive Emily to horsecamp 3 hours away, took a half-hour to get her unpacked and checked in. Then I got messed up driving around Madison, so it took us a while to find the restaurant where Sarah and I were going to eat supper. Then we had to drive about 2 hours home.

On Monday, I worked from 8-5, then Sarah and I had to eat supper and go to church for a general meeting and craft-making session, from 6:30pm until 9pm.

Today, I slept in, since I don't have to work.

I just haven't had a lot of computer time. I admit I just gave MV a quick glance last night, but by the time I got to the computer, I was too tired to do much.

And I still dont' understand how we can be so negetive to one another , or how we can kick one another whne they are down.

I'm sure if they could do and say such heartful and mean things too you then they probaly wont' do this them self.

So let me apoligize to you for the cruelity that they put upon you, not only are you dealing with too much right now, I dont' think anyone deserves to be treated or talked to in such a way that it hurts our feelings. We are all human adn equal in God's eyes.

I don't beleive in juding or passing judgement on anyone. But I do believe in if you dont' have anything nice to say then dont' say anything at all.

I must have missed something. WHY would someone send you a hurtful email? What's their issue? Your request was very kind and compassionate, with the purest of motives, i.e. to cheer up your Dad. Why would someone want to hurt you? ESPECIALLY someone from MV!!!
To whomever it was: that's not what we are about here. We are FRIENDS. We support, encourage, share and care about one another. That's what makes THIS board so different from most of the others. An apology is in order, IMO.

Kathy, I just read about what happened, and I certainly *hope* that it was a lurker. Because if not, then I would be REALLY disappointed to think that one of our *own* could be so cold and unfeeling. This board is here for ALL of our members, and I have always felt that any of us would offer support to each other when it's needed. So I'm going to say this, on the off chance that it wasn't a lurker - if you truly feel that way, then this board isn't for you, and we don't need or want members who would deliberately try to hurt someone.

I am not really sure who it was that sent it because it was from the email momsviewreject @ netscape.com so I will never knew who sent it, and that was the email it came from. And as I had said before I just hope it not one of our own that sent it... I know thats it a bogus or a person that is not happy with momsview that sent it....just by the address...but all and all if that is all they have to do is sent bad email...then let them have a blast!
