I watched my little grandaughter (age 17 months) all day last Tuesday. My DD had nasal surgery. As nice as it was to be with my baby, she is a live wire! My DK's were very placid, and were sleepers. This little one goes and goes, and then fights sleep. The more tired she gets, the more cranky she gets, but she won't go to sleep.
She also goes from one thing to the other, and taking her out in the yard to play, you actually have to run to keep up with her. Her other Grandma says she is very tiring. I guess that's why God made us to have them when we are young! LOL!

I watched my nephew two days this week and it sounds like he could give your granddaughter a run for her money. My children are all pretty calm and mellow kids and my nephew just runs and runs and talks and talks and will NOT sleep until he absolutely crashes to the floor in exhaustion.

She may have worn you out but I bet it was nice to spend that quality time with her. Those times are memories in the making!

When Sarah was 2, my mom got this book from the library, titled, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie...

The little mouse just goes from one thing to another. I read it just to myself and just laughed, because that was my life, way back then!

I still can't wait to be a grandma, but I still have a few years to wait!

Aren't they great at that age?!? I have a little guy who's 23 months that just started yesterday. He's such a doll! He is a bundle of energy, but I'm falling for him already.
