Hello! It seems like it has been forever since I have been here. DH made it home safely from Iraq on May 7th. He was home for 3 days about we left for Oklahoma to see his folks. We had a great time. We drove! Believe it or not, even that was good. The kids did great, and they LOVE playing with their cousins. We got home last week, then his sister came out on business, so we got to see her some more. His family is so great. Other than that we have just tried to get use to living together again after 18 months! It is really hard and we are both having to adjust more than we though we would. Luke turned 2 on May 24th. I was sad, my baby is growing up too fast. He leaves next week to go out of town on business. They didn't even let him get in the door (his civilian job) before they scheduled him a trip. Oh well. Things are good. There is some drama with one of his kids, there always is! I don't know if I will post it or not, last time I said something about his daughter (who is 28) I got bashed pretty bad, so I don't think I will share. Oh and we are trying to adopt a Golden Retriever from a rescue, but haven't found the perfect fit for our family yet. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Joelle, it's good to hear how things are going! I bet it *does* take some readjustment after living apart for 18 months!

As for the drama with the adult child, going through some of that myself with one of them.

Is the adjustment difficult? In what ways?
Scott is coming back from Afghanistan next April and I'm nervous about the reunion and how the routines will be changed. I feel like I'm finally "in a groove" now with Connor. (He's about the same age as Luke!)
