Hello all,

I am pulling my hair out trying to think of ideas of what to get for my daughter who is having her 5th grade graduation ceremony on the 16th. She is very excited since she will be in "middle school" next year and wanted to make this a special occasion for her. If you guys had any ideas on gifts for a soon to be 6th grader I would greatly appreciate it, I am usually very good at this but just can't think of anything this time. Thanks so much!!!

If she is the type, a nice piece of jewelry (doesn't have to be expensive) such as a necklace or bracelet or ring, would be nice. Or a nice jewelry box to put jewelry she already owns in.

Or if she isn't the type for jewelry, then how about a not too expensive mp3 player from Wal-mart, if she doesn't have one. Or a not too expensive camera for recording memories of friends, digital or not.

Does she like to read? If so, a nice boxed set of a type of book she enjoys such as the Little House set from a bookstore.

How about a charm bracelet (they're back in style) and you can add to it through the rest of her school years. I still have mine and since I don't have girls, I've been giving special charms to my niece who graduated high school on Sunday - 30 years to the day and same school as me, so she got one of my graduation charms.

A nice watch, to help her get between classes! There is also a great book called "everything a girl needs to know about middle school (by the american girl company)
