Is Anyone Familiar With Arbonne Hair/Face Products??

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive June 2006: Is Anyone Familiar With Arbonne Hair/Face Products??
By Kate on Thursday, June 1, 2006 - 06:25 pm:

Does anyone use this line? If so, what specific products? Do you like it? Is it expensive? Is it worth it? A friend is trying to sell it to me and I'm interested in hearing from people who use it. TIA!

I love Arbonne. There is actually a consultant on this board, though I can't remember now who it is.

It is pricey. I paid $50 to become a consultant (just for the discount, not to actually sell) and now I get 35% off. And since a little goes a long way, I don't have to stock up all that often.

I use the anti-aging line. Love the eye cream. I've been hooked on it since trying it over a year ago. I think it's worth it.

Haven't used the adult line but always hear raves about it, but pricey.

Funny you posted this...I just posted on the Parenting Board that I bought it for my toddler and it has broken her out in a reaction. So much for "all natural" for my DD!

I didn't like their moisturizer. It made my face look really oily.
Plus, the sales lady was using tactics like putting a cracker in mineral oil vs. whatever their product has and tried to convince me that mineral oil does the same thing to my skin as it did the cracker. Ummmm...crackers are starch, and skin is made out of protein and lipids. Whatever.
Also, I agree, very expensive for what you get. JMHO

Speaking of eye cream......does anyone use another brand that they really like? I tried DHC and I really like that. I got a sample from my dermatologist's waiting room, but I don't know if you can buy it elsewhere.
The problem is, I am VERY sensitive to anything with the slightest fragrance to it near my eyes.
I used to use a cucumber eye GEL that was wonderful, and was cheap! I think I got it at the drugstore. That was about twelve years ago, and it lasted me a long time, but I can't find it anymore. It was REAL good for puffiness.

My sister uses DHC and you can buy it online. I am not sure the website but she loves the stuff. My sister is EXTREMELY sensitive to anything on her skin but she uses DHC all the time and loves it.

Here is their website.. I don't know how to do the links so you will have to work with me

I'm the Arbonne lady. I started out just with the makeup and over a year and 1/2 have been using more and more. I use all the RE9 products and the hormone balancing cream. The balancing cream does wonders for females approaching menopause. My kids are on the vitamins. They have a weigh loss system. It may seem expensive but if you become a wholesale buyer you get discounts and specials and like Melanie said a little goes a long long long way. If you want more info you can email me at hassellmb at hotmail dot com.

The aesthetician at the doctor's office where I get my Obagi skin care line told me that OTC Vitamin E cream works great in the eye area - occasionally it gets flaky there on me due to allergies so I use the cream every night - love it! (and it's very inexpensive)
