What an unusual day so far...
Today is my birthday, yeah me. This am, my hubby does the normal get ready go to work thing. He kisses me good bye and leaves. I think to myself, kind of funny, but I think he forgot it is my bday. Not 3 minutes later he comes back in the door, because yes he forgot, but wanted to wish me a happy day. Very sweet.
It is also the last day of school here (half day). So I am trying to get last minute things together. My youngest son is asleep on the couch, I go to wake him and say "good morning you little couch sleeper" he replies "did you go to my room?" "no" I reply. He then says "well there is throw up all over the floor, that is why I am on the couch". Nice happy bday to me.
So he misses the end of the year party. We will miss the block water party. I miss my half day shopping spree. UGH. He does seem to be feeling okay now though.
Then my phone rings, my ex SIL, who I cannot stand calls me. Who'd thought that my first phone call would be from her? It was nice, but she was married to by brother for 10 years, divorced for 5 now and she has never called. I wonder what she wants!
Anyway, so that is my little pity party whine.
The upside is my house is trashed and now I have time to clean it. So off the computer I get!

Thanks for the well wishes. My son has been fine all day, not sure why he threw up, but glad he stopped!
My dd has her last soccer game tonight, I think we will all go and then maybe go to dinner, but I am still going to play that by ear for now.
My hubby did send me really beautiful flowers. Kind of funny. He never sends flowers, always buys them from the store. On Vday he got stuck at work late and picked up what they had left, they were awful, so bad he said he just almost couldn't buy them...LOL. We laughed about for a while, they were about 4-6 inches tall. So for our anniversary a month later he orders a very expensive arrangement kind of to make up for it. IT WAS HIDEOUS. Looked like a bunch of old lady flowers, not something you would send to your wife. Anyway, I took them back. They let me trade them for something nice. I felt horrible about it, but then when you spend that much money you want it to be nice! So he used a different florist this time and they are beautiful. Sad news is we are leaving on vacation on Sunday for 10 days. I am so practical, but I do love them So it has been a good day. I got my study 90% clean, my dining room clean, made rice krispies and did a touch of sewing.
Happy Birthday, Kaye! It may not have been the day you had in mind but it doesn't sound like it ended up too badly. High 5 to your dh for the flowers. I would have thought about not being around to enjoy them, too. LOL Do you have a neighbor or friend you could give them to so that they aren't going completely to waste?
