Beer
The title was just to get you to click on this Tonight is my daughters preschool/kindergarten graduation and it will also be a senior graduation and awards ceremony for the whole school (small school). I am setting up the kindergarten table for the reception and there will be a few others for the seniors and such so I know they will have punch, but I was thinking of doing like a root beer float instead for something different. Do you think that would work in a punch bowl? Any ideas would help. Julie
I don't see why not but don't have any experience in it to go by, hopefully others will have more insight for you.
It would probably work if there is any way you can have ice under/around the bowl to keep it really cold.
I think it could work as long as like Karen said, you can keep it VERY cold. I think if it is out any length of time, the ice cream would melt and then it wouldn't be very good. Would there be too many people to make them up as they were needed? Have some plastic cups and put a scoop of ice cream in the cup and then maybe use the punch bowl for the root beer and do it that way??
LOL Juli--Yes, I clicked on it because of the title! I don't think the floats in a punch bowl would work at all, because I don't think you could keep the root beer cold enough not to have the ice cream melt. If you do it, I think Vicki's idea would work--put the root beer in the punch bowl and have someone scoop ice cream into cups.
OMG a root beer float sounds so good right now.
I'm with Vicki... how about make-your-own floats? I'm not sure a root beer float punch bowl would work out.
Nope, wouldn't work. Good idea though!
Never had one myself, but doenst' the ice cream go in the bottom of the cup? If so? and you had it in a punch bowl. How would you scoop it out to get the ice cream on the bottom? I think if there aren't too many people and you can make them as needed that would be good, it's a lovely idea you do tend to get tired of punch all the time.
