I started Weight Watchers.......
I'm very excited! I have already been excersising for about 3 months so I figured I would add in something else to combat this weight. I came to this realization at the doctor with my hubby last week when that scale said I weighed more than him. I could have cried. I am wondering if anyone else has joined and what they find really filling, or just plain yummy to eat! I did great yesterday and hope most days are that easy.
I am in my 3rd month of WW and I love it. I do the flex plan and so far I have lost 26lbs. I have gone from a size 16 to a size 11 and I feel great. I still eat normal food but use some WW food to help with the points counting. Just remember if you bite it you write it. Everything counts in your points so leave nothign out. Also drink your water it is important. I eat fruit and salads. I love shrimp fajaitas. I use wheat shells now. I use allot of wheat now instead of regular pastas plus the wheat WW bread instead of white bread. Plus their bagels and english muffins. I also eat sugar free jelly and it is good. Good luck it is worth it.
Good luck! I have never done WW b/c the closest meetings are 45 minutes away. I have done TOPS which is a weight loss support group. I've been going it on my own since the 3rd week of December. I go to Sparkpeople b/c entering in what I eat keeps me accountable. I have lost 35 pounds since I started and have gone from a tight 16 to a loose 13/14 (all my weight is on the bottom). I know what you mean. When I started I weighed more than DH. I couldn't believe it.
Thanks both of you! It seems 16 is the magic number. LOL I hope to be a 12 by October 6th.
I also just started WW - two weeks ago, and it's great. I've already lost 3.6 pounds. I am just starting to find some great treats in the grocery shop. 2 points-Rice Krispy treats. They are called Marchmallow bars. The company is Snack Delite. 1 point-2 slices of pineapple. Also Vitamin Water is free, and is sweet, yummy, and has a lot of extra vitamins, too. If you're interested for some more, tell me, and I'll fill you in on some extras.
Good for you (and everyone else, too!) Way to go!! I've been doing WW for about 4 years, never been to a meeting. My Mom was doing it at the time and lost 40lbs., I needed to lose about 10lbs, so I had her buy me the books and I do it on my own. I lost 13lbs. originally and have never gained it back (except while pregnant!). I've figured out how many points I need/day to maintain my weight and I do it pretty easily. Tonya - I like that motto "If you bite it you write it" I think I'll put that on my fridge! I don't write much anymore except if I notice that I've gained a couple of pounds, then I start up again and it really helps. My ONLY complaint about WW is that I've always been hungry on it, but honestly, it's the easiest thing I've ever done to lose and maintain weight. I love the ice cream cups from Walmart (Blue Bunny I think)...they are only 3 points each. When I want ice cream, I can have one of those and don't feel so bad!
