I'm looking for something similar to a yahoo group (username and password protected) where people can go to to post questions for other people and get responses that has the capability to have email notification on it that something has at least been posted if not with the capability to send the emails. It needs to be completely private as it is something for work. I'd also like to be able to put a link to it on another already existing website. Any ideas? Free to minimal cost would be ideal, we're non profit and I don't imagine there is a lot of money to be had to spend on something like this.
