Lucky kids!
DH's sister has been a village clerk in a nearby community, for 25 years now. There is a surprise party for her tonight. I was excited about the menu, when I first heard about it: 6:30pm - Buffet - Oven Roasted Chicken, Whipped Potatoes, Fruit Salad, Lettuce Salad, etc However, last night, Emily and I were at the store. She wanted hamburgers, but we couldn't find any of the pre-formed patties (yeah, we're lazy!), so we decided on turkey tenderloins cooked on the grill, after marinating in salad dressing and making salads. Yum. Last night, I had forgotten all about the party. So, it is NOT raining this morning, but there is a good chance it will be this afternoon, so I already cooked the tenderloins on the grill. Nothing like firing up the grill at 8:30am! LOL! I can smell the grill smell on myself, plus the tenderloins smelled good after being marinated in a sun-dried tomato dressing and being cooked. I'm now officially jealous of the kids, because I don't get a chef's salad tonight! Hopefully, there will be enough turkey left over, for me to have a salad tomorrow. I bought the red and green lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and green pepper, plus shredded cheese, to put on their salads. Gary, Emily and I had this once last summer, when Sarah was on her mission trip. They were soooo good.
That sound really gooood.I'm jelous of you're dk's also!!Have a good time tonite.Your dinner sounds pretty good too.
