What a week!

It started out DD Alissa sick since Tues. so I was off work, then yesterday DH got laid off from his job of 12 years!!! He was a mechanic for a Chevy Dealership and there is just no work they have been slow for a few months now. I am just sick over it!
I just keep hoping maybe they will get busy again real soon and they call him back. Its going to be a struggle financially for a little while. My job on the bus will end on June 7th so at least we have some paycheck coming in. Its just CRAZY! I guess you always think that it can't happen to you.

BTDT - I know the awful feeling you have. I hope your dd is feeling better and that dh gets called back. I hope they at least gave him a decent severance package after 12 years. (((Kathy)))

It is an awful feeling. No mention of severance. Just they will carry his medical for 2 months. Big Deal! At least he can collect unemployment until we see what happens.

Ugh!!! I am so sorry! We have not had this happen (knocking on wood). But there was a time when I was a kid and my Dad was out of work. It was very stressful for him.

sorry to hear this; I hope your daughter feels better soon and that all works out with your husbands situation. We have had to deal with several lay offs over the years but we have always been lucky that my husband has been called back to work after a few weeks. One day at a time; things will work out.

It happened to us to right after we bought our house, my DH's company closed after he worked for them for seven years. Very stressful. Prayers are being sent your way.
