National Honor Society
Sarah was inducted tonight, for the second year in a row. If she makes it in next year, she gets a gold cord to wear at graduation! It is funny what some of the kids say for what they will be doing in 10 years! (this year's seniors) --living in a big house with a BMW parked out front and a baby --married to a rich man living in a big house --getting teaching degree, getting married, and having 3 kids! (In 10 years? Yikes!) --only thing certain about 10 years from now is that I will be 27! (going to med school. She probably has no idea where she will be in 10 years!) The superintendent gave a nice speech and the treats afterward were good. A Thai exchange student played the piano at the beginning and at the end. She played quite well!
That's wonderful Dawn!!! Congrats to Sarah. That's quite an accomplishment and I'm sure you all are very proud. I love the comments. It's encouraging to hear that young people are setting high goals for themselves.
--getting teaching degree, getting married, and having 3 kids! (This was me!) Graduated at age 17, 1989. Married in 1992, graduated with a teaching degree in 1993. Had kid one in 1994, had kid 2 in 1995, and in 1998 had kid 3 and 26 years of age. But if when asked, my answer was working on my phD...LOL...never had plans of marriage or kids!
That's wonderful! Congratulations, Sarah!
^5 Sarah!!
Thanks for your comments! Kaye, so that all CAN be done in 10 years, huh? LOL! I managed the college and married in 10 years, but not the kids! Grad high school - 1978, Grad college 1983, married 1987, kid 1 in 1989 and kid 2 in 1992.
That's great! You should be so proud!
Congratulations!! I'm sure you are very proud of her.
Yes, we are. Thanks for the comments, everyone!
