Little girl's room update
I wanted to let you all know that I finally picked out a border for little dd's room. I got it at www.papermywalls.com. It was originally $33.something and I got it for $12.99 a roll. Shipping was only $4.50 total. Just thought you all may like to know. Oh, and getting started on dd's room has been slow. Hopefully try again this weekend.
That's great. We are still remodeling Gabby's room.
What did you end up getting?? C'mon, you HAVE to post a link to what you decided on!
I want to but I don't know how. Is there directions anywhere?
Don't laugh, this is my very first try at this. :0 http://papermywalls.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=papermywalls&Product_Code=gu92113b&Product_Count=&Category_Code=
LLLOOOLLL!! I knew I'd mess it up!! We literally just got the internet three months ago.
Border So you know, you can make a link by typing \ new url { www.link.com, Link } WITHOUT the spaces. Cute border!!!
I'm still clueless. But thank you Crystal. Did you see the price? I thought I got a great deal.
You did get a great deal!!! And you're quite welcome.
I like the border you picked, it should work for her for a long time.
Very cute! Border is easy to do.
Thank you. Now, I am trying to figure out whether or not to paint half way up and border there, or go all the way up to the top. I thought the border was a good pick. Little dd turned a year old Apr. 14 so it should last at least three to four more years.(hopefully we get to adopt her) I was also told that this border is made with some new kind of stuff and after she grows out of it, it can be peeled off and put in another romm or given to someone else. I thought that was interesting.
I like the idea of having it at the chair rail level. Since she is small and she can see it and anjoy it at that level. Maybe paint below the chair rail pink and above the chair rail yellow? (i have no idea what colors are in the border lol I am just throwing colors out there. But you get the idea. ) Have FUN!! It is really cute. Will make a real girly girl room ...
BTW, you will love that it can be easily peeled off. I am kicking myself in the rear for ever using wallpaper to beging with in my house. I have painters coming in to give me estimates and suggestions on how they can get mine removed or something... Mine is stuck on so good it is ripping the walls up when I peel it and just ruining the walls. AHHHHHH Never again!!! My Dad warned me and of course I didnt listen. LOL
Oh, I would definitely do the border about a third of the way up and paint a darker color on the bottom and a lighter color on the top. That is how my living room is done, and I love it. I think border is much prettier that way, and you enjoy it more. Your eyes focus more at that level, I mean, who really is looking up all the time? I love the border, too!!!
Just thinking out loud here, but if it is easily peeled off, you might want to put it at the top. I would think that could be awfully tempting to a little one!! LOL
Ok, one more thing. Vicki, you are right, it could be easily peeled off so, has anyone seen a room with a border 2/3 up or do you think that would look stupid? I know I am starting to sound ridiculous. LOL.
I have never seem a room with it that way, but I don't know why you couldn't do it! Anything goes nowadays with decorating. I would just do it high enough that it didn't look like you meant to do a chair rail, but went a little to high. Do it high enough that it looks like you did it on purpose instead of a mistake. Does that make any sense? LOL
Yes, thank you
