So excited for DH!!!
I just reserved his first skydive, he's jumping on Saturday afternoon!! He's wanted to go forever, and I'm a big scaredy cat, (the guys he's jumping with SWEAR they will have me jump sooner or later), so now that he has some friends that go often (one is an instructor) he's actually going to do it! The tandem jumps are the expensive part, but they offer a military discount, so it's not *too* bad. Anyway, I'm excited for him, though I'll be hanging out on the ground... LOL!
That's great Crystal!! My hubby will love to hear that also. He was in the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg, NC and loved jumping. He said it was like the ultimate roller coaster ride. I know skydiving is a little different but good for your DH. Do you think you'll ever get up the nerve? I know I wouldn't!
Probably not!! LOL DH is going to go airborne eventually, but it's totally different according to all of the people we know who have done both. Airborne is a lot harder on your knees, as your DH will probably tell you, but I'll be excited when he goes there, because I'd LOVE to be stationed at Bragg.
I bet he will love it! My sister has gone 4 or 5 times and absolutely loves it. She even got my mom to go!! Let us know how he does!
That really is exciting... but, I'm with you. ON THE GROUND! I really can't even imagine doing something like that! I hate heights, roller coasters, anything like that! Talk about being a chicken! I'm a great big one! I'll look forward to HEARING the details!
Several of my family members have done this and all of them loved it. It sounds right up N's alley! Anything for an adrenaline rush! Tell him I said to be careful and have fun!
Sounds like fun! I thought I wanted to try skydiving when I was in college, but quickly came to my senses when I remembered how much I dislike heights. LOL
Skydiving sounds like it would be a blast! I would love to do it, but i know i would totally chicken out once i was there! Let us know how it went!
Oh, that's something I think would be so wonderful, but I am also deathly afraid of heights. What I really want to do is go parasailing when we go on vacation this year to Myrtle Beach, but I get panicked on the Ferris Wheel! How am I going to do that? Anyone ever parasail?
My DH would love the rush.I'm a keep my feet on the ground kinda girl.I hope you're DH has a blast.
Hope he enjoys it. That is NOT something *I* will be doing! LOL
LOL Thanks everyone!!! I'm with those of you who want to keep their feet safely on the ground. The guys still SWEAR they'll convince me to jump!
