Jewlz update on her surgery !!!
I will be uploading some pictures to show the work and the results so far of my weight loss of a 157 pounds . It has been a hard road but not a terrible one. The surgery itself was not bad. Though they took my morphine away to soon in my opinion! lol...I started at 426 pounds and am down to 269. Jan 24 2005 is when my journey to achieve this started. I lost 46 pounds before the surgery per the insurance requirements. I can not eat three fish sticks in one setting yet but I can move! In Jan 05 i could not get up out of a chair by myself to go to the bathroom. I had to have someone help pull me up to get up on my feet. My driving was nill to nothing because I coudln’t drive safely for the steering wheel pushed hard against my belly. Now I can get two fists between my belly and the steering wheel. I coudln’t shop or get into a car to go to dr. without my legs or back hurting so bad that I was taking extra strength darvacet two at time and not touching the pain. I was taking twelve pills a day. Type two diabetic and high blood pressure and pain meds and migraines...I haven’t had a migraine since the surgery well just a bit before, on Sept 24 ! This is the best thing I have ever done for my life. In Jan I did Vegas and walked Grand Canyon. I can do anything now and I am alive and living now. I take 6 vitamins a day because my body doesn’t get enough food to absorb them naturally and will the rest of my life. It’s not been easy road. I've done my share of throwing up. If I don’t chew my food up to a baby purée it come up and there's allot of things that might taste good going down the first time but not the second time. I have eaten so much cheese and cottage cheese and eggs and refried beans that I’m sure there’s a shortage somewhere in the world for these items. lol. Actually I have had very lil trouble. I work out at curves three to five times a week. I can’t do the protein drinks very well. But will do them if nothing stays down. I am suppose to have 100 grams of protein but body will absorb only like 35 -45 ... My blood work was just ran and everything is going well except my ac1 is (diabetic test) is to low 4.5. They said that will level out and to eat a bit more often lol never thought I’d hear that in my life lol. I'm a cheap date when we go out to eat. I get a bite off everyone’s plate ... or three or four off someone else’s if theirs is really good. I cant have red meat yet (18 months out) and chicken don’t agree with me ... salads... sometimes...cooked veggies that don’t cause gas lol and by the time you cook for 2 ounces lol you wonder if its worth it. It is because it’s for me now. I have to admit that allot of my weight is because I let life get to me, and a marriage that is rocky and not always the greatest ... but I don’t blame no one person for the things life has dealt me. I blame myself for putting the food in mouth and allowing the world to get to me. I have learned to take control and decide what my problem is and what is worth fighting for. Then I take a plan of action and go for it. Though life did throw me for another loop I was diagnoses last month with osteoarthritis from my neck to my hips... and all in between ...but u know I’m a survivor. I can do anything is my attitude and motto. lmao and I will some day. Living is so much fun! Sorry so long ... any questions ask away... oh yeah ! and my clothes are getting really baggy big time on me. and I put on a dress that is shaped on the large size and its a 18 ... i was wearing 4x at my biggest. The pics will be up as soon as I figure it out lol p.s. in January while in Vegas a lady made my day. As I picked up will call tickets and showed ID she said "Maam you have lost allot of weight." I just smiled and said Thank you! You just made my day. And said "I love you! She laughed at me... She was the first one to really notice the weight loss besides my family or people that know me.
